Sites and Lights of Iceland NOV 2021
ITINERARY
Day 1 – Monday November 1st
Take off from Newark (pm flight) (Additional flight from JFK available)
Day 2 – Tuesday November 2nd
Land and start your tour with dip in the incredible Blue Lagoon. The milky blue silica waters will replenish you from your flight; after we will be visiting 3 of the most iconic waterfalls of Iceland Seljalandsfoss, Gljufurarfoss and Stogafoss,
Overnight: Hotel Skogafoss or similar
Day 3 – Wednesday November 3rd
This morning we head to the legendary Reynisfjara Beach aka Black Beach and it’s fabled Troll cave. If weather allows we will stop at a more secluded “black beach” and take in the view from Dyrholaey lighthouse. (access permitting). A quick stop in the village of Vik ends our day. Spend the evening hunting the Aurora in rural south east Iceland.

Day 4 – Thursday November 4th
The Golden Circle supplies the route for today. Visit the original Geysir, Strokkur Geysir, Gullfoss and Thingvellir National Park where you can stand between tectonic plates!. If time allows possibly Bruarfoss and then Grabrok Crater for the sunset.
* If available tonight we stay on an active farm were you can play with the animals, enjoy their award winning restaurant
and imbibe the local craft beer before we hit the hot tub to enjoy the Northern Lights.

Day 5 – Friday November 5th
. Tonight search for the Aurora Borealis on the western side of Iceland. Doing our day tour see Stykkisholmur village and Western fjord (weather permitting) , Kirkjufellsfoss, Black Church, Bjarnarfoss, Gerðuberg Cliffs,.
* If available tonight we stay on an active farm were you can play with the animals, enjoy their award winning restaurant
and imbibe the local craft beer before we hit the hot tub to enjoy the Northern Lights.

Day 6 – Saturday November 6th
This morning a quick stop at the Glannifoss before we take a tour of Hallsgrimskirkja Cathedral and all the major sites of Reykjavik including Tjornim Park, the Harbor, the flea market, Sun Voyager Monument, The Harpa concert hall and a trip to the hill top Perlan restaurant. Perhaps stop for lunch at Baejarin’s Betzu Pylsur, a world famous hotdog stand.
Spend the evening in Reykjavik at your leisure perhaps souvenir shopping.. Or have your guide show you some interesting spots to have some drinks.

Day 7 – Sunday November 7nth
This moring continue to explore Reykjavik on your own or with your Guide.
After an early lunch we head to the airport but along the way we venture to the Viking World Museum whose main attraction is a magnificent viking ship which sailed from Norway to New York in the year 2000 to commemorate Leifur Eiríksson’s journey to the New World a thousand years earlier. Also see grass roofed dwellings at the recreated settlement.
From here our adventure ends as we fly home
